Hello! Welcome to Topdog Training, Ireland’s leading dog trainers & behaviourists. I’m Henry and I’ve been training dogs for over 35 years. I provide veterinarian recommended obedience training & behaviour modification.
The reason my training is highly successful is simply that I always tailor training to meet your puppy, adult dog, or rescue dog’s needs.
The earlier you start to train your dog the better, but it is never too late, the saying” it’s like trying to teach an old dog new tricks” is just that, a saying. Once your dog is fit and healthy, they can be trained.
Guaranteed Results & Lifetime Support. After our 1-hour online training session, you will have Free Unlimited Support & Training For The Lifetime Of Your Dog. We Will Always Be Here To Help You Should You Need Us (See below for more details)

We had Henry help us and our Golden Retriever pup (6 months) today. It was great and the change in Bailey already is amazing. We have to keep up the training that Henry gave us today but I know that Bailey is going to be a great family dog. I can't recommend Henry enough, he is a gentleman and brilliant at what he does (training dogs and humans 😁). Thanks again Sean.

I Was so delighted with the results of my session with Henry / Top dog training, In the space of a few minutes my dog Daisy was walking on a loose lead for the first time with out pulling or binging distracted by by noise's or even other dogs.
By the end off the session I was walking along busy streets and bustling shopper's with my dog on a loose lead. Later that day I was able to repeat the same walk on my own with wonderful results my dog walked at my side with a loose lead. I am so glad I connected Henry top dog training. Truly fantastic results. 🐕

Henry is incredible! We saw changes in our dog that we never thought possible. We had gotten to the stage where we dreaded walks with our dog and would actively avoid busy places due to his reactivity, but Henry changed all of that. We are so so thankful and would recommend to anyone who is struggling with their dog!

Calmness In House, Pulling On Lead

Henry helped my two year old collie dog, who we were having a lot of trouble with - Nipping and growling at strangers who came to the house, barking constantly, chasing cars … etc. Henry was very good and helped us to rid Joey of all these bad habits and gave us many tips for the future. Before his training I wasn’t sure if it would be a success as we had previously tried so many things but have always been unsuccessful. We were very pleased as we were beginning to see no future for our dog in our home.

I have a 50kg Shepherd who has anxiety and severe leash-based aggression to other dogs. After 6 months of trying positive reinforcement, alternative commands, overshadowing and anxiolytics I was at the end of my tether. Every walk was stressful and it was affecting my relationship with my otherwise lovely, overgrown lapdog. Training with Henry changed our world. I have a new leash and a new way of approaching dogs. Since our session I have been doing what Henry said and I can't believe the change! I can walk past dogs without having to cross the road or deal lunging and barking. I can enjoy my dog and our walks and it is wonderful. Thank you so much Henry!

We contacted Top Dog Training to help our boy Zeus with some errant behaviours (pulling on lead, jumping on visitors etc.) Henry showed us just small corrections and tips and they have gotten us some very big results.
Zeus was very strong on the lead and would pull us constantly from one side of the path to the other and it was quite difficult to control on lead. Again, Henry showed us some small changes we could make including rewards based walks and they have made a massive difference.
We can not thank Henry enough for the help he has given us and would 100% recommend him to anyone who's dog needs some training. And with the support offered after the training it has ment we could stop some bad behaviour as soon as it occur atherosclerosis then let it become a bigger issue.
Thank you again Top Dog Training
